The Stock Market Has a Memory
For over 130 years, certain patterns have repeated themselves in financial markets. The January Effect, Sell in May, the Turn-of-Month — these are not myths, but statistically verifiable phenomena.
The problem: this data has until now been either hard to access, poorly presented, or analyzed uncritically. That is exactly what we are changing with SeasonAlpha.ai.
What Is SeasonAlpha?
SeasonAlpha is an analysis platform that makes seasonal patterns visible for stocks, ETFs, indices, futures, and crypto — interactively, data-driven, and with the friendly support of AI. With AI we ask whether seasonal patterns are stable — and whether we can rely on them, or not.
No gut feelings. No guesses into the blue. Instead: what do 5, 10, 20, or 130 years of stock market history say about today? And what do our AI models say about it?
What to Expect
Seasonal Analysis on 7 Time Levels
From the decade down to the individual weekday — SeasonAlpha breaks the market down into its recurring components:
- Decade cycle: up to 131 years of price history for the Dow Jones (less for other markets, but still substantial), analyzed by decade
- Annual cycle: seasonal trajectory within the year, also known as the solar cycle. Supplemented by percentile bands, confidence intervals, and significance tests
- Presidential cycle: do not underestimate the power of four years of American presidency — expect fascinating analyses
- Monthly cycle: the trajectory within a month (Trading Day of Month — or TDOM for short)
- Weekdays: Monday anomaly, overnight vs. intraday split
- Month-end: the Turn-of-Month effect — one of the strongest seasonal edges
- Moon phases: full moon, new moon, supermoon — no esoteric nonsense. Let the data speak for itself.
- January Trifecta: the trajectory indicator par excellence. Three January indicators as a traffic light system for the whole year.
- More to Come: you can already look forward to new features that will be rolled out step by step.
AI-Powered Analysis
SeasonAlpha uses machine learning not as a marketing buzzword, but as a genuine tool:
- Pattern matching: which historical year resembles 2026 the most?
- Anomaly detection: where is the market currently deviating from its seasonal pattern?
- Significance tests: is a pattern statistically robust or just coincidence?
- Outlier management: filter out crash years so they don't distort the analysis
90+ Instruments (more to come...)
S&P 500, DAX, Nasdaq, Gold, Bitcoin, Ether, Tesla, Apple, Rheinmetall, SAP — and dozens more stocks, ETFs, and indices. Every ticker with full seasonal analysis.
